The next three power point our group has individually analysed current music videos in the genre we are trying to create. The reason why we have done this is so that it will highlight the current codes and convention of the genre. Once we know what they are, our group can then decide whether or no to follow or go against conventions.

The Next Step
After analysing my 3 music videos I found out that that each of them carried out same scenario, they each had a narrative some made more sense than others. As well as the narrative the band also gets a separate story line of their own however eventually both performance and narrative come together to finish the video off. All the videos i looked at seem to have a fun and rebellious sort of vibe. The locations these videos were shot in were very different from each other, it may be difficult to achieve locations like the videos i looked at. The costume and props were mostly things i wouldn't wear adding more fun to the videos. With this research it has given me an insight to what a rock music video is made up and consists of, our next step as a team is to set up a focus group of a round 3-4 people and ask them a few questions about our chosen genre.
