Production Log Records

Here is our production log record which includes details of any changes we have made along the way within our filming logo due to unexpected circumstances.

During the shooting of our video we encountered some minor problems due to difficulties in our room was doubled booked, therefore we had to push are proposed production shoot log forward.

Shoot 3
Location- Music Room
Type- Performance
Props- Guitar, Microphones and Drums
Costume- Band costume
Shots being filmed- Pans and Close Ups

Shoot 3 was one shoot which we had difficulties with due to the music room was getting used, however to make sure this problem didn't arise again we booked in with the music department a weekly slot according to our production shoot log to make sure there were no more unforeseen delays.

Shoot 8
Location- School
Type- Narrative
Props- N/A
Costume- Both dressed smart, New day
Shots being filmed- Both the boys notice the girl, and chase after her bump into each other and fall on the floor they look up to see that she is gay

We also had a delay in Shoot 8 due to one of the members of the group fell ill, therefore we had to put the production plan back, however we did make use of are time by looking back at what we have previously filmed to see if we could improve certain shots in anyway possible.

What went well

However, the rest of are planned shoots went really well and went ahead as scheduled without any experiencing any difficulties. One of the main factors which we found helped in the success of our shoots was the fact that we were very organised and made sure that all the necessary equipment was available for us to use, and that all are locations were free at the times we needed them. ( learning from past experience with shoot 3)

In Depth Analysis

Shot 1- Music room
At first we had difficulties setting up the high angle as we struggled to get a suitable shot which reflected venerability, however we managed to prop the camera up to gain a suitable shot.

The shots we will definitely use in this shot session will be the high angle shot just after the first chorus as the connotations of the lyrics is a person being venerable, which the high angle represents.

Shot 2- Music room
The close-ups and pan were not very successfully at first, which we later found out once we uploaded them to adobe premier. Therefore we re-shot and successfully executed the close-ups and pan shots

The shots we will defiantly use from this shot session will be the close-ups of Craig in between choruses, as we felt the quality of the shot is very good and Craig is well positioned.

Shot 4- School grounds
At first we struggled to get the set up right on how the actors were going to walk on screen, but after a couple of rehearsals we got it right and successfully shot the school ground location

With this shot session we will be very selective in the shots we will use as some of the sense were not the best technically shot.

Shot 5- School building
We felt that the continuity in these shots were really well executed as each shot flowed well in to the other, each shot reflecting the rhythm and beat of the song.

The shots which we will use from this shot session are the over the shoulder shots which our group felt were very well executed.

Shot 6- School
This was one of the shoots which we were really happy with as we felt we got the set up of the scene down to a tee. The timing of the actors walking on to screen was excellent and really helped produced a well executed scene.

One shot we will defentialy use will be the shot reverse shot of Craig and the girls walking past

Shot 7- Music room
After uploading are footage on to adobe premier, we felt that we needed more camera movement during the performance shots of our video. Therefore we ran some zoom and panning action shots during performance.

After taking more footage in the music room we felt that the fast paced pan work extreamly well and gave good effects.
